The cold wave in National Capital is continuing and testing the lives of people. Poor people who do not have a house, are staying in shelter homes amid chilling weather. While speaking to ANI, a caretaker on January 18, from one of the shelter homes in Yamuna Bazar area said, “Our rescue team becomes active with the arrival of winter. Blankets, beds, and hot water are available here. We provide tea, snacks and meals to people who stay here.” “A caretaker is there 24x7 to look after people staying at the shelter. The government lends support and has provided various amenities,” he added.
